The Bees Lips
I know, cheesy title. But bare with me here, it's {actually} my first day.
Danielle and I wanted to start off our posts with something we know a thing or two about - and that is Burts Bees products. Either one of us has used the hand salve, body wash, or the ever so popular default product: lip balm. Just to clarify: We absolutely love the Burt’s Bees lip products.
We have talked about using the more alluring (can I say "alluring"?) lip products such as the lipsticks, tinted balms, and glosses.
Today we got lip wild and we paired the Lip Gloss and Lip Shimmer. I loved the color of the lip shimmer, and the sheen coverage of the gloss. Why would I not just try them together?
The lip shimmer by itself leaves you with quite a tingly feeling. However when paired together, the gloss tones it down. So if you’re one who likes to feel their lips the tinted balm is for you. I felt that both were true to their color, and absolutely loved how they complimented my skin. I had read some reviews previously about the color not being as vibrant as advertised so this was an unexpected and welcome win.
The gloss itself was heavy and had a lasting sticky feeling. But that’s to be expected with any type of gloss. I did feel the need to reapply quite frequently as the color wore off quickly. But I do drink more than several cups of tea a day, so if you’re not as avid of a drinker, you may not find yourself reapplying quite as often.
As always, the Burt’s Bees products did a wonderful job of moisturizing and leaving my lips feeling hydrated. I am definitely looking forward to trying out the Burt's Bees Lip Stick soon! I've included links here so you can find both the Lip Gloss and the Lip Shimmer.
Bottom line? I would love more colors of the gloss. Bottom-er line? I can't wait to try the lipstick!
